The Cleveland Cavaliers, Lake Erie Monsters and Cavs new Canton NBA D-League team are searching for homegrown talent to showcase their musical forte for the opportunity to stand under the spotlight and have the honor of performing the national anthem in front of THOUSANDS of fans! Announcing their first-ever National Anthem Talent Tour, the Cavaliers and Monsters game presentation management teams will travel across Northeast Ohio to hold auditions for vocalists and brass musicians who can hit all the right notes, then give fans the ultimate “voice” in determining the winner from each city!

Registration for the National Anthem Talent Tour is free and open to vocal and brass soloists, duets, trios and quartets of all ages. Applicants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The first 100 pre-registered and the first 100 walk-up candidates for each city will be guaranteed an audition. Candidates will be asked to perform a traditional, a cappella rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” within a 90-second time frame. All auditions will be taped and considered for future performances.

Judges will select three finalists from each city and post each candidate’s audition video on cavs.com, where fans will have a week to vote for their favorite act. The winners from each city will have the thrill of performing the national anthem for thousands of fans before a Cleveland Cavaliers, Lake Erie Monsters or Canton D-League game, or before a Quicken Loans Arena event!

The National Anthem Talent Tour judges will travel to the following cities for their Star-Spangled search:

*All audition applicants must arrive at least an hour early for registration and check-in. For more information on the National Anthem Talent Tour, and to complete a registration form, interested candidates should visit www.cavs.com/anthem or contact the Game Entertainment Hotline at (216) 420-2154. Pre-registration is highly recommended must be submitted at least 24 hours before the audition date.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Choirs, non-brass musicians and those unable to attend are also encouraged to submit a demo tape, CD or video of their national anthem performance to the address below. Material that is submitted must be a maximum of 90 seconds long and performed a cappella. Tapes will not be returned, and demos will be reviewed and considered for a live audition invitation and/or performance opportunity.
