Sights and Sounds from Wednesday

Greg Mauldin, Justin Mercier and Dean Strong gave the Monsters a 3-0 lead after the first period on Wednesday. But the Texas Stars would make a quick comeback in the second, tying the game at 3-3 heading into the second intermission.

Patrick Rissmiller - for the third straight game - scored the gamewinner for the Monsters, this time just 45 seconds into the third period.

Gerald Coleman - starting his ninth straight game in net - finished with 30 saves on 33 shots in his eighth win of the season.
