2008-09 Player Rewind...Tyler Weiman

It was a year of peaks for Tyler Weiman, as the Lake Erie goaltender set lofty franchise marks that any goalie who dons a Monsters jersey will be hard-pressed to achieve. Most notably, Weiman became the first Monster player to lead the league in a statistical category, as his eight shutouts were an AHL best. Weiman’s 21 wins, 2.46 GAA and 0.915 save percentage are all Monsters records to go along with his eight shutouts.

Joined by defenseman Kyle Cumiskey, Weiman was named to the Canadian AHL All-Star Team in late January and appeared in the final period of the game.
