It was deja vu for Darren Haydar and T.J. Hensick on Sunday, as the Monsters pair replicated their stellar performance from Saturday night in another big win over North Division rival Toronto on Sunday afternoon. For the second straight day, Haydar recorded two goals and an assist and Hensick three assists of his own, as the two led Lake Erie to a 7-0 win over the Marlies in Ontario. The shutout is the third of the season for the Monsters and the second from goalie Tyler Weiman (32 saves).

Haydar and Hensick recorded the exact same stat line in Saturday's 4-2 win over Toronto in Cleveland. Sunday's seven goals ties a franchise best, while the seven-goal margin of victory is the largest in franchise history. Lake Erie has won a season-best four straight games and five of their last six. The team improves to 13-17-0-3 on the season.

Sunday marks the third straight game that Hensick has posted three assists, and he has recorded points in 10 of the last 11 games (3G, 16A). Sunday's game was his fourth three-point and fifth multi-point effort of the year.

Hensick's linemate Haydar recorded his team-leading ninth multi-point game of the season, which includes three three-point games. Haydar has recorded 17 points (9G, 8A) in the past 11 games. Hensick and Haydar share the team lead with 16 assists apiece, while Haydar is tops in scoring with 31 points so far this season.

Lake Erie did the most damage in the first period, where they rattled off a season-high four goals in the frame, including three in a span of less than two minutes. Rookie Cedric McNicoll got the scoring started with his goal at the 3:15 mark, assisted by Travis Gawryletz.

More than half a period would go by before the score would change, but then it would change quick and often. Haydar converted on a power play at 15:07, assisted by his linemates Hensick and Ryan Stoa.

At 16:28, Haydar did it again, scoring once again on the man advantage. This time he was helped by Tom Preissing and Brett Skinner.

Then just 24 seconds later, Brian Willsie would push the Monsters lead to 4-0 with his goal. Preissing assisted again, recording his first multi-point game with the Monsters and sending Lake Erie to the locker room with the four-goal advantage.

The pace slowed down in the second period, as there was only one score in the 20-minute frame. That came, once again, on the stick of McNicoll. The goal at 11:06 of the middle session was helped by Tom Fritsche and Justin Mercier. Sunday was the third multi-point game of the year for McNicoll.

Lake Erie finished the second with a 5-0 lead over the Marlies.

The Monsters would cushion the score with two more goals in the third and final period. The line of Stoa, Hensick and Haydar converted yet again, this time with Stoa finding the net at 4:52.

It took only 34 more seconds for Lake Erie to solidify their 7-0 victory. Ray Macias scored his first of the season at 5:26, helped by Hensick and Stoa. It was the third multi-point effort of the year for Stoa, who has posted six points in the past four games (4G, 2A).

Lake Erie's penalty kill once again shut down Toronto, denying all six of the Marlies man advantages. The Monsters have given up only one power play goal in the last six games (33 attempts).

Weiman was a perfect 32-for-32 in goal for Lake Erie. Across the ice, Joey MacDonald had 22 saves on 29 shots.
