Monsters Broadcaster Ben Holden is currently "up top" in Denver with the Avalanche at training camp and he's had the opportunity to catch up with several former Lake Erie Monsters now up with the Avalanche. Current Avalanche head coach Joe Sacco led the Monsters for the first two seasons of the team's existence in Cleveland. Last season Sacco helped lead the Avalanche back to the playoffs and was a finalist for the Jack Adams award, given to the top coach in the NHL. Holden had a chance to sit down with Sacco and talk about his time as the Monsters head coach and how it helped prepare him for his first NHL head coaching position.
