After recording nearly a point per game (11G, 12A) through 25 contests with the East Coast Hockey League’s Greenville Road Warriors at the beginning of the season, defenseman Julien Brouillette joined the Lake Erie Monsters on December 14th and made an immediate impact.

The offensive blue liner played 49 straight games with Lake Erie after becoming a Monster on December 14th, and he recorded his first point (assist) in just his fourth outing with the team.

Both of Brouillette’s regular season goals came in power play situations and they were both game-winning tallies (March 19, 3-2 at Milwaukee; April 6, 3-2 vs. Toronto). His offensive punch held high value to the Monsters’ power play unit, as Brouillette registered nine points (2G, 7A) on the man advantage this season.

He finished the campaign with 17 points (2G, 15A), before posting a goal and an assist in seven playoff games.

Season Highlights:

December 26, 2010: Recorded first point as a Monster, an assist, in 5-3 loss to Grand Rapids.

February 25 – March 4, 2011: Ran a three-game assist streak in helping the Monsters win two of three games (Feb. 26, 3-2 vs. Grand Rapids; March 4, 3-2 vs. Rockford).

March 18 – March 20, 2011: Ran a three-game point streak (1G, 2A) in helping the Monsters win three games in three nights (March 18, 7-2 at Grand Rapids; March 19, 3-2 at Milwaukee; March 20, 4-3 at Peoria).

March 30 – April 6, 2011: Strung together a four-game point streak (1G, 3A), helping the Monsters win two of those four contests (April 2, 2-0 at Toronto; April 6, 3-2 vs. Toronto).
