Monsters, Hamilton Set for Saturday Night

MATCHUP
On the heels of last night's loss in Buffalo to Rochester, the Lake Erie Monsters will wrap up the week of action with a 7:30 PM tilt this evening against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Last night's loss snapped a four-game unbeaten in regulation streak for the Monsters, who are 3-1-1-0 in their last five games. Hamilton topped St. John's at home last night 6-3 to snap a five-game skid; the Bulldogs are 1-4-0-1 over their last six games.

LAST TIME OUT
The Monsters allowed three unanswered goals- one in the first period and two in the second- to open last night's scoring; two of which were power play goals for Rochester. Dean Strong scored the Monsters only goal - a power play tally- in the second period.

WHO TO WATCH: MONSTERS
Andrew Agozzino and David van der Gulik registered assists last night, extending their respective point streaks to seven and six games; the two longest such streaks this season. With Agozzino consistently among the rookie league leaders in plus/minus and van der Gulik having accumulated 11 points over his last six games, it goes without saying that good things are happening for the Monsters when the two are on the ice.

WHO TO WATCH: BULLDOGS
Gabriel Dumont is tied for Hamilton's lead in points with 18, and is coming off the game of his career. In the Bulldogs 6-3 win over St. John's last night, Dumont registered his first career hat trick and added a pair of assists for a five-point night; his career-high for one game.

TUNE IN
All of tonight's action can be heard live on AM 1220 WHKW beginning at 7:30 PM if you can't make it to The Q. Doug Plagens will be on the play-by-play.
