Monsters in Rocky River Tonight

Cleveland’s new professional hockey team, the Lake Erie Monsters, is hitting the ice in a neighborhood near you. Fans can come watch the Monsters practice at five different neighborhood ice rinks during the season, then take the ice with the players for an open skate and autograph session. The Monsters regularly practice at Hoover Arena operated by Ice Land USA in Strongsville, Ohio. The team and Time Warner Cable developed this neighborhood tour, in order to further connect with their passionate community of fans around the area. Time Warner Cable already carries 20 Monsters games on FSN Ohio into neighborhoods around the region and now they’ll help take the team directly to their fans in person.

“We understand how important it is for us to connect with our fans and want to be easily accessible for them. This neighborhood tour is just another way for us to thank our fans and have some fun doing it,” said Monsters director of hockey and community relations Jock Callander.

During these special practice sessions, fans will get a unique view of how the American Hockey League’s newest franchise and top affiliate of the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, prepares for their games. Following the first hour of practice, fans are welcome to join the team on the ice for an hour of open skate, including an on-ice autograph session.

The Monsters will be in the following neighborhoods:

January 14th - Rocky River Recreation, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
December 17th - Michael A Ries Rink in Parma, 6:15-8:15 p.m. - Cancelled
November 28th - North Olmsted Recreation Center, 5:45-7:45 p.m. - View Photos!
