While MacArthur and Goers were the most recent Lake Erie Monsters, Cedric McNicoll of the Florida Everblades is also a former Monsters. McNicoll recorded one goal and four assists in the championship series. *MacArthur scored the game-tying goal for Las Vegas in the third; Florida would win 3-2 in OT *MacArthur scored Las Vegas only goal in a 3-1 loss to Florida *MacArthur recorded an assist in Game 3; Las Vegas lost 4-3 in overtime *MacArthur recorded the first goal of the finals in Game 1; Las Vegas won 2-1 Having fallen in six games in the Kelly Cup finals just four years ago, the Las Vegas Wranglers return to the finals and look to reverse their fate - starting with Game 1. While, there is always a lot of moving and shifting among ECHL rosters this time of year, the return of Barry Goers and Peter MacArthur to the Wranglers lineup following the end of the Lake Erie Monsters season has given the Las Vegas squad an edge on both the offensive and defensive boards. Rejoining the team for the start of the second round, Goers and MacArthur have each played in all 10 games for Las Vegas; defeating the Idaho Steelheads in five games during the Western Conference Semi-Finals and the Alaska Aces in five games to advance to the championship series. Goers, known for his aggressive style and selfless play, has continued to be presence on the ice for the Wranglers with 11 shots, 2 assists and a impressive +/- total of 11 over a 10 game run. For MacArthur, his return to a high scoring offensive core has been nothing short of seamless. Jumping into the mix right out of the gate, unleashing 29 shots on goal - finding the back of the net on three occasions, including a powerplay goal in during the semi-finals and the game-winner in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals against Alaska. MacArthur has also recorded four assists and has a +/- total of six through the playoffs. Game 1 is set for Monday night at 7:05 p.m. PT and Game 2 will take place Tuesday night.
