Join the hottest team on ice, Cleveland’s own Lake Erie Monsters!

The Monsters are looking for the best and brightest dancers to join the hottest dance team in the AHL – the Monsters Hockey Girls!

The MHGs are a very important part of the award winning Monsters Game Entertainment at Quicken Loans Arena, as well as in the Northeast Ohio community!

The Monsters are entering their sixth season in Cleveland, under the ownership of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and currently rank third in the AHL in attendance and have won awards as the AHL’s Best Game Experience and Marketing Programs.

The Monsters Hockey Girls are a group of phenomenal women who possess a high standard of professionalism, dance ability, community interests, an outgoing personality and a genuine enthusiasm to interact with fans of all ages.

The Monsters are excited to host auditions for the 2012-13 Monsters Hockey Girls team on SATURDAY, AUGUST 4th, at St. Edward High School in Lakewood at 9:00 AM ET.

REQUIREMENTS

• All applicants must be 18 years old at the time of audition - there is no maximum age limit


• Must have some previous performance experience


• Must provide one non-returnable headshot and one non-returnable full-body shot (4 “x 6” or larger preferred)


• Photos are used for identification purposes - Photos should be a representation of the applicant’s most current look


• Must live in Northeast Ohio area Must have either full or part time employment or be a full or part time student


• Team members must have flexible schedules and able to attend all scheduled Monsters Hockey Girl rehearsals, games and appearances for the duration of the contract which is one year from the date of employment


• Team members must have reliable means of transportation to all appearances, games and rehearsals.

AUDITION DATES/TIMES/LOCATION

• Saturday, August 4th, 2012 at 10 am - Registration begins at 9 am

AUDITION ATTIRE

A two-piece outfit with flesh colored hosiery is mandatory. A two-piece outfit consists of any top (sports bra, halter-top, and tank) that shows your midriff and bottoms (briefs or hot shorts…NO PANTS). Jazz, dance shoes or athletic shoes (minimal tread and non-marking soles) are also mandatory.

+ also plan to bring your own water bottle(s) to stay hydrated.

(*Audition will include learning a dance routine, as well as a short interview)

• 1 headshot AND 1 full body photo are required. Photos will not be returned and are not being judged - it is for identification purposes only.


• $10 Registration fee (registered before Aug.4th)

• Walk-up applicants will be accepted but applicants are recommended to arrive early for registration and “day of” registration fee will be $15 (cash only)
