Warming up for the 2012-13 season, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lake Erie Monsters are searching for hometown harmony to audition for an opportunity to stand center stage and have the honor of performing the national anthem in front of fans at The Q! Interested candidates are invited to stop by Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday, September 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., where the Cavaliers and Monsters game presentation management teams will hold open auditions for vocalists and brass musicians who can hit all the right notes!

Registration for the Cavs and Monsters national anthem auditions is free and open to vocal and brass soloists, duets, trios and quartets of all ages. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and all audition applicants are encouraged to arrive early to The Q’s Arcade Entrance for registration and check-in. Candidates who are registered before noon will be guaranteed an audition. Performers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Vocal performances must be a traditional, a cappella rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” within a 90-second time frame. All auditions will be taped and considered for future performances.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Choirs, non-brass musicians and those unable to attend are also encouraged to submit a demo tape, CD or video of their national anthem performance to the address below. Material that is submitted must be a maximum of 90 seconds long and vocal performances must be a cappella. Tapes will not be returned, and demos will be reviewed and considered for a live audition invitation and/or performance opportunity.
