Training Camp Begins Monday, September 29th; First Preseason Game Friday, October 3rd

The Lake Erie Monsters will officially begin their 2008-09 Training Camp on Monday, September 29th at Hoover Arena in Strongsville (15381 Royalton Road). In preparation for their second season in the American Hockey League, the Monsters will take to the ice for practice sessions on Monday and Tuesday, followed by intrasquad scrimmages on Wednesday and Thursday.  All practice sessions and scrimmages are free and open to the public.

The 2008 Training Camp schedule is as follows:

Monday, 9/29/08: 12:00 p.m.-1:15 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.-2:45 p.m. (practice sessions)
Tuesday, 9/30/08: 10:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.-1:15 p.m. (practice sessions)
Wednesday, 10/1/08: 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. (intrasquad scrimmage)
Thursday, 10/2/08: 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. (intrasquad scrimmage)

First Preseason Game Free and Open to the Public
On Friday, October 3rd, the Monsters will begin preseason play as they host a North Division foe, the Rochester Americans, in the first half of a home-and-home series. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Hoover Arena and admission is free for all fans. Come cheer your favorite players from last year and get your first look at new acquisitions as the Monsters prepare for the 2008-09 season!  Lake Erie will then travel to Rochester on Saturday to cap off Training Camp with a second preseason game.
