A veteran of more than 220 NHL games, netminder John Grahame joined the Monsters in early March after being loaned from the Colorado Avalanche.

In the team’s final 19 games, Grahame appeared in 14, compiling a 4-7-3-0 mark. During his tenure between the Lake Erie pipes, Grahame, a native of Denver, Colo., posted a 3.44 GAA and a 0.884 save percentage.

Prior to coming to the Monsters, Grahame played in 12 games earlier in the season with the Adirondack Phantoms.

What sticks out most on Grahame’s accomplished résumé is the Stanley Cup he won as a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004.

Highlights:

• March 5th, 2010: Recorded first win as a Monster against Milwaukee. A shootout victory, Grahame made 18 saves including turning aside three of five shooters in the shootout.

• March 20th, 2010: Registered 35 saves in a 3-2 win against Abbotsford; named second star of the game.

• March 27th, 2010: Made 37 saves in 5-4 win against San Antonio.

• April 7th, 2010: Recorded 16 saves, including stopping all three shooters he faced in the shootout, in a 5-4 shootout win against Abbotsford.
