Friday night the Monsters left Quicken Loans Arena at approximately 11:00 p.m. after their 6-3 loss to the Manitoba Moose. The team arrived in downtown Toronto at approximately 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning via charter bus for Saturday afternoon’s game. The players had a late morning breakfast after just a few hours of sleep and were ready to get back on the ice for an important game against the Toronto Marlies. The late night and lack of sleep didn’t phase the Monsters, who skated to a much-needed and hard-earned 4-1 victory over the Marlies.

Before the Monsters team bus left their hotel Saturday afternoon at 12:45 p.m., broadcaster Ben Holden made his way from the hotel down to historic Maple Leaf Gardens to see the state of the long-standing hockey shrine. In this edition of “On The Road”, Holden shot some video and added commentary of what he saw at the corner of Church and Carlton Streets, where Maple Leaf Gardens sits. He also shot some video with commentary of Ricoh Coliseum where the Toronto Marlies play.
