In this edition of "Get to Know", we cover Monsters defenseman and captain David Liffiton. This season, the tough and gritty defender has made his mark  by providing leadership both on and off the ice, as well as proving to be one of the more reliable defenseman on the team. Offensively, Liffiton has recorded three points (1g/2a) in 14 games this year.

How does it feel to play in front of great fans, and what can that mean for a game?:   Playing in front of a great crowd really ups the intensity in the game.

What is your favorite way to relax on a non-game day?:  I like to play guitar, go hiking, and go to the beach.

Describe a pre-game ritual you like to go through to prepare for a game:  I get Starbucks coffee on the way to the rink.

Who was your favorite hockey team and player while growing up?:   Toronto was my favorite team and my favorite player was Doug Gilmour.

Could any of your Monsters teammates be a celebrity look-a-like?:   Julian Talbot looks like Golum (from Lord of the Rings).
