Monsters Team Up With United Way on April 11thTweet04/03/2009 3:39 PM
The Lake Erie Monsters have created a program exclusively for the United Way of Greater Cleveland and all its partner agencies and newly-funded agencies. The unique partnership will provide the United Way with discounted tickets to a Monsters game for their supporters; raise funds for their programs and services; and increase community awareness for the good work they do. The agencies will be able to raise money for themselves by selling discounted tickets for the April 11th Monsters game, proceeds of which will go directly back to their program. The game will be “United Way Non-Profit Night” at Quicken Loans Arena, and the agencies that participate will be recognized at the game. “We are impressed with the program that the Lake Erie Monsters developed for United Way of Greater Cleveland and our partner agencies. It shows that even in these tough economic times companies throughout Greater Cleveland such as the Monsters continue to create generous programs to benefit our community,” said K. Michael Benz, United Way of Greater Cleveland President and Chief Executive Officer. “It’s mutually beneficial and sure to score with our supporters.” April 11th is the last game of the regular season for the Monsters, and is “Fan Appreciation Night.” Fans will receive free giveaways and prizes throughout the night as the Monsters say ‘thank you’ for a season full of support. Tickets for the game to support United Way can be purchased online at http://theqarena.com/store/lemunitedway.
