Game Quotes, November 18th: Moose 4, Monsters 2

Head Coach Joe Sacco
(On the team’s performance) “It all started in the first period. I didn’t think we came out prepared to play tonight. We didn’t build off these last two wins and Manitoba took the momentum of the game in the first.”

(On Manitoba) “They came out to play tonight. They competed more, came up with loose pucks and won more one-on-one battles.”

(On the game) “It’s a lesson for us that we have to be ready. We talk about playing a full 60 minutes and we have to do that.”

(On T.J. Hensick) “T.J. is really starting to come along. It’s his fifth straight game with a point. He is really learning more and more on how to play in the AHL coming from the college ranks.”

Right wing Dan DaSilva
(On his goal) “I’ve been waiting a while. I played the first six games without a scoring goal. It felt good to get back out there and get that monkey off my back.”

(On the getting back on the ice) “It definitely felt good to get back out there. I started off a little slow, but I felt it come together the third period. Things started falling back into place.”

(On the team chemistry) “We are starting to play better as a team. We’ve been practicing harder and harder each day and that translates into wins most nights.”

(On home games) “We realize the importance of these games and understanding the importance of home ice. The crowds have been great and we know that wins will get people back in the arena.”
