Dustin Halstead

Head Equipment Manager

On January 22nd, 2010, Dusty Halstead was named head equipment manager of the Lake Erie Monsters. Halstead will begin his fifth season with the Monsters in 2013-14.

Prior to beginning with the Monsters, Halstead spent the previous 11 years with the Colorado Avalanche organization, Lake Erie’s NHL affiliate.

In 1999, Halstead began with the Avalanche as the stick boy for the team. In 2005, he worked in equipment transfer and was responsible for the pickup and delivery of the equipment of teams visiting the Pepsi Center to and from the airport, the Pepsi Center and offsite practice venues.

While working in equipment transfer, Halstead was also an assistant equipment manager with the Avalanche, working with the team on a daily basis to help with equipment needs during games and practices.

During his time in Denver, Halstead also acted as the head equipment manager for the NCAA West Regional tournament in 2007 and the Frozen Four in 2008 when both events were held at the Pepsi Center.
